Visual Navigation & Autonomous Flight
GNSS-free positioning from optical and visual-inertial methods, plus mission and waypoint autonomy. Holds course when GPS is denied, jammed or spoofed.
Visual navigation
AKINAK-AG positions the drone from optical and visual-inertial methods rather than a satellite fix. It holds course when GPS is denied, jammed or spoofed — no satellite fix required.
Because positioning does not depend on GNSS and guidance does not depend on a radio link, the module can operate with every transmitter switched off. See EW resilience.
Autonomous flight
Mission and waypoint autonomy without continuous operator input. The module flies the assigned route, holds station and executes the mission profile on its own. In critical-infrastructure protection this is what runs scheduled patrol routes over marshland, water and forest that ground patrols cannot cover.
Visual Navigation & Autonomous Flight: questions
Does the module work without GNSS?
Yes. AKINAK-AG navigates from optical and visual-inertial methods, so it holds course when GPS is denied, jammed or spoofed. It also runs with all transmitters deactivated, so it needs neither a satellite fix nor a command link.
Can it fly a mission without continuous operator input?
Yes. The module flies the assigned route, holds station and executes the mission profile on its own, without continuous operator input.
